Greg Hetson - Los Angeles, May 2009

Ever since I started going to local punk shows when I was 17, X has stood out to me for many reasons.

The song writing, musicianship and integrity of X ranks them amongst the all time great Los Angeles bands of any genre.

After attending at least a dozen of their shows in a short period of time, the band was playing a 21 and over show at Club 88 in West LA. Being barely 18 at the time I didn't even think of trying to get in. I just went to hang out and enjoy "The Scene". As I stood on the corner with my friends, John Doe came up to me and asked if I going in. I said no "I'm not 21". He then pulled me by the hood of my green army jacket, pushes me past the door man and says "He's with me!".

I was taken aback as I barely knew him at the time. Being afraid that I would somehow get thrown out for being underage,I hid in the corner until i felt comfortable enough to slowly creep up to the front row.A memory i will never forget.

The band has always been generous and giving to their fans and friends. I am excited to have them on my humble label.
